I know of only a very few taxidermy shops in the nation that you can count on for good work on every specie, every time.  Russell Knight and his staff do exceptional work on everything. For Alaska's big game you just can't beat them. If you are doing large panoramas you might consider someone in the states, (shipping becomes a factor), but for shoulder mounts, rugs and life size mounts, do yourself a favor and send them to Knight's. 

Russell has his own tannery right at the shop, so work gets done when he needs it done, and he can monitor problem skins all the way through the process. No longer is there a need to have your hide processed by someone who has no interest in the finished product.  You will find a link to their web page on our "link" page.

We now use Knight's for all of our expediting work.  Since Sept. 11, you can no longer take trophies with you as baggage, and you can not ship them out of the state unless you are a "Known Shipper".  Expediting your trophies home is the only choice remaining, and Knight's does a professional job at a reasonable price.

Expedite/Handling Fees:
$85.00 per animal.  This covers receiving at the airport, transport to the shop, inspection, and contacting you.  There is additional expense for fleshing, salt curing, crating, and shipping your trophy from Alaska to your home, or taxidermist. (please check with Knights to confirm all current prices and conditions)
